This bag was taken from the book "Classic Beaded Purse Patterns" by E. DE JONG KRAMER which is available from LACIS. The book has many wonderful patterns taken from antique Dutch purses.

The original bag was knitted, but not having any knitting needles fine enough for the work, I worked it in square stitch instead which made it longer and narrower than the original because of the way the beads lay. It is done in size 11 Mill Hill and Gick beads.
